Double-drum dryers (DDD)

For drying dewatered sludge and wastewater
These dryers offer the lowest running costs.

Overview
DDDs feed the items to be treated between two steam-heated rolls that rotate in towards each other, thereby turning all items fed into the dryer into a thin film, whereupon they are heated, vaporised and dried in less than a minute.

Treatable items
Adhesive dewatered sludge, untreated items and other wastewater

Rotary coil dryers (RCDs; patent pending)

For drying dewatered sludge and food sediment
These dryers have good heat efficiency and offer a wide variation of functions.

Overview
RCDs crack waste items fed into it by the rotation of steam-heated coil paddles in the dryers' round bodies. RCDs heat the waste indirectly, stretching and heating the surface area to dry the waste products and reduce the volume thereof.

Treatable items
Almost all kinds of sludge-organic of inorganic-can be dried, including coffee and tea residue and inorganic dewatered sludge, but the structure of RCDs is such that it may be difficult to dry items that may encounter scaling on heated surfaces or substances that become increasingly viscous when heated or stirred (e.g., potatoes and starch). For these items, we recommend a Yamamotogiken-kohki DDD.

Twin-drum dryers (TDDs)

For drying wastewater containing oil and salt
These dryers help overcome scratching and corrosion issues.

Overview
TDDs feed the items to be treated between two steam-heated rolls that rotate outwards away from each other, thereby turning all items fed into the dryer into a thin film, whereupon they are heated, vaporised and dried in less than a minute.

Treatable items
Wastewater from cutting and washing as well as coolant wastewater.

Single-drum dryers (SDDs)

For drying low-concentrate wastewater
These dryers are affordable and very heat efficient.

Overview
SDDs are continuous dryers; steam is poured into a revolving drum, and the wastewater and sludge poured onto the drum surface is vaporised and dried.

Treatable items
Wastewater from paints, plating, food, photo developing and desulphurisation; food sediment and active sludge; as well as other wastewater, i.e., ceramics, titanium oxide, pigments and ferrite
